We are lucky enough to have found two of these killer desks in the last few months. The first one sold within minutes of coming into the shop.
Model M315W by Heywood Wakefield Furniture Co of Gardiner, MA.
Originally designed in the mid to late 1940s by Count Alexis Sakhnoffsky. This desk was recently refinished with a lighter finish and warm golden wood tones.
All drawers slide smoothly. Bottom left is a double deep vertical file drawer.
The top drawer has some writing in the bottom from the previous owners and we are in the process of finding some contact paper for it. The contact paper will not be permanent and can easily be removed if you don’t mind it’s history showing though. 🙂
Finished backside so the desk can be floated away from the wall.
Condition: In very good restored condition with some minor age showing in spots.
