Original early 1960s “Wassily” Chair by Marcel Breuer for Gavina Group in Italy

Description

Heavy black leather and chrome. Classic and Iconic Mid Century Chair by renowned Architect/furniture designer Marcel Breuer. This is an early 1960s version and was purchased in Italy from the Gavina Group which is pre-Knoll. 

This chair is very sturdy and solid but has some age related issues. Some scuffs to leather and a repair with 3 black rivets instead of stitching. A shoe repair shop could fix this and re-stitch it on the right side.
