Description

What is Mola Art?
Mola (which translates to “shirt” or “clothing”) refers to the intricately hand-sewn panels that make up the front and back of a traditional Guna woman’s blouse.
To create a mola, several layers of different-colored fabric (anywhere from two to seven) are stacked and sewn together.
The artist then cuts shapes into the top layers to reveal the colors underneath, folding and stitching the edges with tiny, nearly invisible stitches.
These are very collectible and come from San Blas Islands (Guna Yala), Panama
Dimensions: 21″ x 17″ and 22″ x 17″
Top one is $225 and bottom one is $250
