A warm, handsome Danish modern three-seater sofa in rich cognac leather, circa 1970s. The solid light wood frame has slatted side panels with a softly rounded top rail, and sturdy straight legs that give it a grounded, tailored look. Three loose seat cushions and 3 loose back cushions are soft and make it comfortable for everyday sitting, and the leather has the depth of color that only good vintage hide develops over time.
Attributed to Stouby of Denmark based on the design and construction. The sofa does not carry a visible maker’s label, so we are noting it as an attribution and not a guarantee.
Condition: The full grain leather is supple with a few light scuffs and gentle creasing consistent with age. Cushions are firm and supportive. Frame is solid and sturdy with no loose joints.
About the color: Leather color can look different from screen to screen and in different lighting. In person this sofa has the look of warm cognac with a hint of rust tone.
